Magnetite Jade

This is a rare stone mined only in Victorville, California and was mined out in the 60’s. This jade is a very dark green or black in color with magnetite inclusions. Once polished, think pieces of gold can be plated on the jade which results in striking pieces. The stone takes good polish and is suitable for all types of lapidary and jewelry work.
